We try to be as accurate as possible and will always describe an item as smaller made and oversized if we find this when trying the item ourselves. Please note that you may receive either a numerical value size or an alphabetised value size. They equate to the sizes listed below. We can stock up to 50 brands at any one time and have found that these guides are the most representative.

Returns policy

Please note our in store returns policy and online returns policy are different.

Winter Sale 2021 Returns Policy 

Our returns policy for our Winter Sale 2021 is as follows; any sale items purchased in our sale will be subject to an exchange or online credit only. Please make sure you are happy with these terms before checking out as we will automatically issue online credits for any sale items returned. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If you are local to one of our stores you can return your online order to store, this must have the invoice filled in and the package sealed. Our stores will not be offering exchanges for sale items at this time. If you chose to return to store, please note it may take 7 working days for returns to our Broughty Ferry store and 14 working days for returns to our Aberdeen store to be processed by the online department.

For all orders placed between December 24th and December 28th due to the Christmas bank holidays your orders will be shipped on December 29th although you may receive notification that they are shipped earlier.

Due to the high volume of orders it is not possible to change or amend an order once placed. 

Online Returns

We have extended our returns policy to allow all FULL PRICE items purchased between November 1st and December 24th to be returned up to January 10th in unworn condition and tags attached for a refund!

It is no problem to make a return to TLB online. If returning by post please fill out your invoice with refund/exchange and return to;

Unsuitable items must be returned in their original condition, unworn with tags on, within 14 days of receipt for a refund. Please note that the 14 days begins from the day the order arrives in store or is delivered to the address stated. You have a further 14 days to exchange this item for a change of size or different item, If you are out of this time frame you will be issued an online credit note, online credit notes cannot be redeemed in store.

Returns can take up to 7 working days to process depending on payment method, unfortunately at this time we do not offer pre-paid returns, however it is free to return your order in person to store.

Beauty items, underwear & earrings are non returnable due to hygiene reasons.


Cancel an order

If you wish to cancel an order you would need to inform us within 2 hours of placing the order. This can be done by email, or by calling either of our stores. It is not possible to cancel an order through our social media channels. Once an order is fulfilled it is not possible to cancel and would be subject to the returns policy.


In Store Returns

In Store Christmas Returns customers are entitled to an exchange or credit note for any Full Price items purchased between 1st November and 24th December until January 10th.

Unsuitable items must be returned in their original condition, unworn with tags on, within 28 days for an exchange or in store credit note with a valid receipt.

You may return items between both stores. If you choose to take a credit note it also be valid in both stores.

Beauty items, underwear & earrings are non returnable due to hygiene reasons.

If you receive faulty goods, either in store or online, you may also have a right to return these goods and to ask us to repair or replace them or get a refund. You must have your receipt and it must be within 6 months. The item will be checked over by staff before any decision being made.

Please note - when returning a faulty item please send via royal mail 1st class, we have a cap of £3.99 that can be refunded for faulty postage costs. As always a proof of postage is required.

Example, If Monday is a bank holiday your order will be collected from ourselves on the Tuesday and delivered on the Wednesday. 

If you opt for next day delivery at checkout out-with Monday to Thursday before 1pm your order will be send the next working day. We do not refund postage costs for any next day delivery orders that do not arrive the next day if you placed the order after 1pm Monday to Thursday.  Any next day orders sent on a Friday will be delivered on the following Monday.

International Delivery: £20

*Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland are excluded from Next Day Delivery and will be sent on a 48 hour service.

Please Note that DPD class some Aberdeen postcodes as Highlands and Islands. If ordering for Next Day Delivery and you are an Aberdeen postcode please check with us first that this is available for your postcode.

Custom / Import Duties

For orders to all countries outside of the UK please note that there may be additional tax, customs or import duties levied to you by your government once your parcel reaches your country. We do not have any control over these charges and unfortunately cannot predict what they may be, so you may wish to contact your relevant authorities before placing your order to clarify if this will be the case.

We cannot accept responsibility or reimburse any such duties, tax or customs charges.

If they are not paid and the parcel is then returned to us, we may be charged for the return of your package; this return delivery charge will be deducted from any refund value or will need to be paid for before any re-shipment can be arranged.
